Unpublished (2023)

Proposed idea for an illustrated gallery of well-known ‘rogues, scallawags, ne’er-do-wells and other assorted reprobates’, arranged in the tradition of celebrity photo walls of theatrical pubs. Vintage caricatures of artists, musicians, and actors, were meant for patrons to feel ‘In Good Company’ at Scallywags.

‘Wanted’-style advertising posters, giclee prints, merchandise and charity-driven auctions of original art were to follow. Unfortunately this remained an unrealized proposal, as the restaurant closed up shortly after, due to the pandemic lockdowns.

The collection would include original, as well as ‘master studies’ created by other illustrators – which served as learning projects to help strengthen my skill set. These illustrations will now be collated into self-published book, available sometime in the near future. The mockups represent my “dream assignment”.
